Nigerian America Queen Uche has continued to receive honours since she returned to the country a few weeks ago.
The latest honour came from Igwe Nwabueze Ohazulike, Eze Ndigbo of Lagos State, who bestowed on her the tittle of Ada Igbo.
Speaking at the event at the weekend, Igwe Ohazulike said that Umeagukwu has brought honour to Ndigbo and Nigeria and, therefore, deserved to be honoured for being a good ambassador of the country.
The traditional ruler praised the beauty queen for not bring the name of the country into disrepute and urged other young women and men to follow her example.
Responding, she thanked the traditional ruler and promised to be a good ambassador of the people, adding that she was elated by the honour done to her. Umeagukwu told the large number of people present at the e3vent that she happy because the honour came from igwe Ohazulike.
Umeagukwu has also been received by H.R.M. Oba Shakirudeen A. Kuti, Elewu of Ewuland, and was given the chieftaincy title Yeye Oge of Ewu Kingdom (the most beautiful woman).
Her latest visit was with Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi, Kusenla III, Elegushi of Ikateland in support her mission. However, she would return for the official ceremonies for both titles in the near future.
On July 4, 2018 Queen Uche arrived Anambra State and was be received by the Governor Willie Obiano, represented by Commissioner in the Ministry of Diaspora Affairs, Culture and Tourism, Mrs Sally Mbanefo. During her visit, the beauty queen shared her hopes for the future of her homeland – Ndi Anambra, including economic empowerment opportunity from a Japanese investor partner, who wants to work in the area of eco friendly waste reduction technology through industrial trash furnace.
Queen Uche was presented an award of honour by Governor Obiano; the governor, through Mbanefo announced the appointment of Queen Uche Umeagukwu to the position of Ambassador to the Anambra State on Diaspora Affairs.
On July 6th, 2018 Queen Uche was given a rousing welcome in her local government, Aguata Local Government Area and was presented a certificate of recognition. In her community,Uga, the Obi of Uga, Igwe Chidi Stephen Ezenwugo, conferred an honorary title “Ada Di Ora Mma Of Uga,” meaning the precious daughter of the entire world.
The Umuoru Community Union (UCU) also presented an award to Queen Uche in recognition of her commitment to the common good.
